Customer

CMS Clinker Sdn Bhd is based in Mambong, Sarawak, providing high quality and steady product supplies for clinker, ready-mix and pre-cast concrete products.

The Problem

The customer's  40” conveyor belt snapped on a Saturday morning. They needed 250 meters belt length urgently.

How SLS Created an Advantage

The customer contacted SLS’s experienced sales team in East Malaysia and conveyed their urgency.

Due to SLS’s comprehensive stock range, the team was able to offer up to 300 meters ex-stock, which was more than sufficient for the customer’s needs.

The team was able to supply the belt to customer’s site within hours upon customer’s request.

SLS’s conveyor belt splicing team then worked 24 hours round-the-clock to pull up the belt and joint for the customer, ensuring that the conveyor belts were properly installed. 

        

 


Result

SLS East Malaysia was able to prevent a costly and unscheduled downtime of the plant, which would have led to a potentially critical loss of production and lost revenue.

With SLS’s comprehensive stock range and highly trained and dedicated engineering team, the customer was able to save more than RM$30,000, which was the potential loss if the plant had stopped.
