On 18-20 June 2019, Malaysia held South East Asia's biggest Oil and Gas Asia (OGA) show in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). The 3 day event spread across three levels with around 2000 participating companies across 60 countries promoting their products and services. This event provides a great opportunity for participants to meet with world renowned companies in the Oil & Gas industry and serves as a networking hub to exchange business opinions and expand their professional network.
According to one of the business representatives, the Oil & Gas Show had its highest turnout this year ever since the oil and gas downturn a few years ago. The oil and gas market in 2019 is shown to have a more positive outlook and continues to recover.

SLS Bearings (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd also took part in this three day event. As the authorized distributor for Enerpac Malaysia, the SLS booth showcased a range of hydraulic tools, as well as providing visitors with a more in-depth understanding about Enerpac products and solutions.

As we are now entering the Industrial 4.0 era, many companies were focusing on innovation and technology as part of their showcase. There was a dedicated platform called the OGA Innovation Space for startups to display their products and services and an Innovation Award was also presented to young organizations that showed promise and potential in the innovation sphere.

Other agendas in the program include industry and technical talks by leaders worldwide where they presented their expertise and shared valuable insight on topics such as digitalization, optimization solution, technology updates in their fields of Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Engineering.

Overall, the event was a fruitful one as many attendees have benefited from learning about the latest technology and equipment and sourced for the best solutions that the sector could offer, as well as gained first-hand information from industry experts as Industrial 4.0 and digital transformation are taking place.
