# Creating Advantage For a Construction Leader

**Customer**
Sambo Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd. is a global leader in civil engineering and construction services. The company builds subway, highway, express railroad, and other infrastructures. Based in Busan, South Korea, the organization also engage in overseas construction projects in Singapore, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, UAE, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
**The Challenge**
Sambo E&C were previously obtaining SKF bearings from their headquarters in Korea. This meant that the bearings had to be shipped to their Singapore office, which took several weeks and incurred additional shipping costs.
**The SLS Solution:**
As the [authorized distributor](http://www.skf.com/sg/our-company/SKF-Singapore/distributor-singapore/index.html) of SKF in Singapore, SLS was able to provide SKF bearings direct from Singapore. With close consultation with the Sambo E&C procurement team, SLS was also able to offer bearings specifically suited for the tough operating conditions of the machinery where the bearings were used in diaphragm wall machines and bored piling machines. SLS's pricing and after-sales service also provided a better alternative to the previous solution.
